Creating confident & empowered care givers and professionals to make the biggest difference
What is P.A.C.E Training?
let’s dive into what pace actually is and why get involved..
PACE stands for Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy. These principles help to promote the experience of safety in your interactions with children & young people. Children need to feel that you have connected with the emotional part of their brain before they can engage the thoughtful, articulate, problem solving areas.
Helen is passionate about PACE and now trains foster carers, social workers and professionals working with children in a variety of settings to incorporate this model, attitude and way of being in interacting & communicating with children and young people and responding to their complex emotional needs.

2 Day PACE Training Course
Created to empower confident carers To make a difference
This immersive experiential & interactive 2 day course is designed for professionals and caregivers working with children and adolescents who are looked after by the local authority and/or have experienced trauma.
Rooted in the principles of PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, and Empathy) and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) this training will equip participants with practical strategies to foster safety, trust, and healing while also addressing the impact of compassion fatigue.
N.B This is an ‘in-person’ training and is designed for intermediary level knowledge. A ‘basic’ reading of or understanding of PACE is required.
This training is so informative and interesting. I’ve been on pace training before with another trainer, Helen’s was so much better, easy to understand and very professionally presented.
